Which tool tapers do NC systems support?
There are holders for all common tapers: ISO-SK, HSK, VDI and Capto. For each standard there are matching holders that grip the tool securely and protect the cutting edge.
Why avoid loose storage?
CNC tools are expensive and delicate. If they lie loosely on top of each other, the cutting edges damage one another. NC holders fix each tool individually and protect the cutting edge.
What are the tool holders made of?
Mostly of oil-resistant, break-proof plastic such as ABS. The material withstands everyday workshop use, grips the tool firmly and still releases it quickly.
Can I combine cabinet and trolley?
Yes. NC cabinets and NC transport trolleys use the same holder grid. This lets you store tools in the cabinet and transfer them to the trolley without repacking for transport to the machine.
What to watch out for with load capacity?
CNC tools are heavy. Pay attention to the permissible load per drawer and pull-out and store heavy tools at the bottom so the centre of gravity stays low and the cabinet remains stable.
