What is the difference between top and bottom profiles?
The bottom profile stands on the floor and holds the first shelves. The top profile forms the upper end. With boltless systems, 2 bottom and 2 top profiles are usually supplied as a set, because the two complement each other.
Angle profile or T-profile – which is better?
That depends on the setup. Angle profiles are cheaper and well suited to shelving against a wall. T-profiles are more stable and intended for free-standing, double-sided shelving. The two systems cannot be mixed.
Can I make my shelving taller with longer profiles?
Yes. If you buy taller angle profiles and the ceiling allows it, you can extend the shelving upwards and add more shelves. Be sure to fix it to the wall, because tall shelving tips over more easily.
Are angle profiles from different manufacturers compatible?
Usually not. The hole pattern, depth and slot-in system differ from one manufacturer to another. Before buying, check the system of your existing shelving and stick with the same manufacturer.
Do I need tools for assembly?
For the pure slot-in system, a rubber mallet is enough. No screws are needed. You only need a drill and wall plugs for fixing tall shelving to the wall.
