Answers to common questions about Slanted Shelf Units
20 degrees forward is typical. Some manufacturers offer up to 30 degrees for a better overview. An incline of around 20 degrees is a good compromise between bins sliding down reliably and staying stable.
Up to 150 kg per shelf is often possible, with the load spread evenly. The exact value is stated on the load plate. Distribute the bins across the full width instead of piling them up in one spot.
The inclined-shelf rack provides FIFO and a full overview but costs a little volume. The standard shelving unit uses the volume fully but is more awkward for frequent picking. For small parts that are picked often, the inclined version is worth it.
No. At the front there is a stop rail about 55 mm high. It holds the bins securely while leaving access from above clear. Loose goods without a bin should not be placed on inclined shelves.
As soon as many bins are picked frequently and FIFO and short search times matter. It plays to its strengths in assembly supply and order picking. For dormant stock, a standard shelving unit is better.
