Shelf configurator

Loading configurator …

With the Kreckler shelf configurator you plan your racking step by step online — from boltless shelving for the workshop and wide-span racking for bulky goods to pallet and cantilever racking for industry. You see your racking in 3D at all times, get an automatic load and structural check, and receive a complete parts list with a binding price at the end. Optionally as a PDF, a share link or directly in your cart.

How to configure your racking in 4 steps

  1. 1

    Choose racking type

In the first step you choose the racking type that fits your application: boltless shelving for mixed small-parts storage, wide-span racking for bulky goods, pallet racking for Euro pallets or cantilever racking for long goods. For each type you see a short description with typical applications, load range and cost frame.

  2. 2

    Set dimensions

You enter height, width, depth and the number of shelf levels via interactive sliders. Live in 3D you see how the proportions change while the configurator calculates the permissible shelf and bay loads. If your input becomes structurally critical (e.g. spans too wide for the chosen beam), you get an immediate warning.

    Options & accessories

Materials (galvanised or powder-coated), shelf type (steel sheet, wood, grating), extension bays and accessories such as dividers, impact protection or beam supports are added in the third step. Every selection is reflected directly in the 3D preview and the price updates in real time.

    Summary & order

In the final step you see a complete parts list, the final price and all notes (e.g. on seismic design for your postcode). You can download the configuration as a PDF, copy a share link, add it straight to your cart or request a free consultation.

Racking types you can configure

Boltless shelving
Boltless shelving
The classic for workshops, archives, sales rooms and small-parts storage. Load capacity per shelf 80–500 kg depending on the version. Boltless or bolted system, quickly assembled.
Wide-span racking
Wide-span racking
Large spans without a centre support — ideal for bulky boxes, large parts and tool boxes. Load capacity per level up to 1,200 kg, spans up to 2,700 mm.
Pallet racking
Pallet racking
For palletised storage in logistics and industry. Takes Euro pallets crosswise or lengthwise, bay loads of 2,000–6,000 kg. Configurable with impact protection, beam supports and safety pins.
Cantilever racking
Cantilever racking
Specifically for long goods: pipes, profiles, boards, sheets. Single- or double-sided, arm load capacity up to 1,500 kg. No front uprights for free access from the front.

Live 3D preview, real-time pricing, no spreadsheet ping-pong

Unlike static product pages, the configurator shows you in parallel with every input: the finished racking in 3D, the updated price, the permissible load capacity and all notes on statics or seismic design. If something doesn't fit — such as too wide a span with too weak a beam — the configurator flags it immediately and suggests a suitable alternative. You don't need a data sheet, a calculator or upfront consulting to arrive at a reliable configuration. If you want advice anyway, our field service is one click away via the "Request consultation" button.

Frequently asked questions

What is the shelf configurator for?
The configurator helps you tailor racking exactly to your spatial requirements and loads. You choose the racking type, dimensions, material and accessories — the configurator shows you live in 3D what fits together, where floor space and load capacity intersect, and automatically compiles the matching parts list at the end.
Which racking types can I configure?
Currently four: boltless shelving for light to medium loads, wide-span racking for bulky goods, pallet racking for standardised Euro pallets and cantilever racking for long goods such as pipes, profiles and boards.
How do I find the right load capacity?
In the "Dimensions" step you see a live calculation of the permissible shelf and bay load per level. If your planned load exceeds the values, the configurator suggests stronger beams or additional bracing. If in doubt, the Kreckler field service checks the statics for you free of charge.
Do I need a seismic verification for my racking?
In designated seismic zones of Germany (e.g. Upper Rhine Graben, Swabian Jura) a verification according to DIN EN 1998 is mandatory. Based on your postcode, the configurator automatically checks whether your configuration is design-relevant and displays a notice.
Can I save my configuration or export it as a PDF?
Yes. In the last step you generate a PDF with all dimensions, the parts list and the 3D view with one click. You also receive a permanent share link that lets you or a colleague reopen, extend or add the configuration straight to the cart at any time.
Is the racking made to measure?
Standard grids are available from stock and ship within 3–7 working days. Custom dimensions and individual coatings are possible; depending on the specification, delivery takes 2–4 weeks. The configurator marks which of your inputs are standard and which trigger custom manufacturing.
