Shelving Inspection
& Weekly Visual Inspection
Protect your employees and your goods. The weekly visual inspection is the basis for a safe shelving system.
Weekly Checks
Internal visual inspection by trained personnel (weekly).
Annual Inspection
Mandatory inspection by external experts (every 12 months).
Documentation
Legally compliant recording of all defects and repairs in the warehouse.
Visual Inspection vs. Expert Inspection
This is how the prescribed controls differ in your operation.
| Aspect | Weekly racking check | Expert Inspection (Annually) |
|---|---|---|
| Frequency | Weekly (recommended) | Mandatory every 12 months |
| Inspector | Competent person (internally trained) | Certified racking inspector (external) |
| Scope | Visual inspection for external damage | Detailed static & technical analysis |
| Proof | Simple checklist / documentation | Extensive inspection report |
Note: The weekly check is no substitute for the annual inspection by experts. Both are mandatory according to DIN EN 15635!
